New “This Day in Past Seasons” Feature Added to the Northern Alps Live Cameras

A new “This Day in Past Seasons” feature has been added to the Northern Alps live camera site.
You can now compare the current mountain conditions with images from previous years taken around the same season and time.
For example:
- Remaining snow conditions
- Autumn foliage progress
- Seasonal snow melt timing
- Visibility and weather differences
The feature uses archived fixed-point camera images collected over multiple years across the Northern Alps region of Japan.
Our goal is not only to show the current mountain conditions, but also to preserve seasonal changes and long-term mountain landscapes as a visual archive.
On mobile devices, past images can be opened in an enlarged lightbox view.
